One killed as farmers, herdsmen clash in Jigawa

A 20-year-old Isah Abdul was killed in a clash between farmers and herdsmen at Garki Local Government area of Jigawa State.

Spokesman of the state police command, SP Abdul Jinjiri, confirmed the incident to DAILY POST.

He said the incident occurred On 21/6/20 at about 1400hrs at Buduru Fulani camp.

He explained that the clash started when one Suleiman Chiroma 50, years old of the same village accused the deceased of allowing his animals to destroy his farm produce.

Jinjiri, however, stated that the farmer, therefore, went back and mobilized people who attacked the Fulani boy which resulted to his death after sustaining various degrees of injuries.

Police Spokesman said the victim was rushed to hospital where he was confirmed dead.

He said two suspects were arrested and the case is still under investigation.
